Jeff McSweeney

Mr. McSweeney is Vice President and Consulting Actuary for By the Numbers Actuarial Consulting, Inc. (BYNAC). Mr. McSweeney has participated in reserve and rate analyses, loss projections, deductible analyses, dividend plans, and other studies for governmental, group, and corporate clients. He has passed six out of the seven exams required for Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Mr. McSweeney has sixteen years of experience in actuarial practice, with fourteen years in consulting and two years in the commercial pricing unit of Nationwide Insurance. Workers compensation, commercial businessowners liability and property, and personal and commercial auto lines are among his areas of application.

Mr. McSweeney also brings to BYNAC three years experience as an educator in the actuarial science program of Middle Tennessee State University, where he received a Masters in Mathematics in 2000. In addition, Mr. McSweeney has a background in information systems and software development, with eight years as a systems manager and ten years of development experience in scientific and database applications. His list of clients included Ford Motor Company and the Republic of South Africa.
